Who We Are

Stoke-on-Trent Community Health Service provides a wide range of diverse health services in the local community.

We employ in the region of 1500 staff ranging from District Nurses, Community Matrons, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrist, Dentists and many more specialists.

Currently we are an operating division, sometimes called the Provider Arm function of the Primary Care Trust (PCT). Stoke-on-Trent Community Health Service is working towards becoming an independent NHS provider service and separate from the Commissioning Arm (purchaser of services) of Stoke-on-Trent Primary Care Trust.

In some areas of care we work closely with Local Authorities and Voluntary organisations to ensure the demands of patients are met effectively.

We operate from two community hospitals, the Haywood Hospital and Longton Cottage Hospital, and from Health Centres across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.

Our Aim

To deliver high quality, safe services and promote the health and well-being of everyone we serve.
