Orthotics
The Orthotic Service supplies patients with special devices who require help with mobility and correction of deformity.
The Orthotic Service assess, treats and supplies special fitting orthoses, which are devices that support or correct musculoskeletal deformities, to help patient mobility, or make patients more comfortable.
The service works closely with Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Neurology and Diabetic Specialists to promote patient mobility and reduce complications that could lead to amputations.
The Orthotic team supports clinical teams in both hospital and community based GP practices. GPs have open access to the service and existing patients have direct access to the service by telephoning for an appointment.
The Orthotics service is situated at the Haywood Hospital and available during the following times:
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
No clinics on Bank Holidays
The Orthotist has clinics 2 days per week Monday & Wednesday
