Dermatology Service
The Dermatology service provides specialist nurse led clinics for the diagnosis and treatment of specific skin conditions.
Dermatology nurses diagnose and treat specific skin conditions at special clinics held regularly in the community thoughout Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire. Home visits can also be arranged where appropriate.
Patients are referred via GPs, or other health care professions A choice of clinic venue is offered to patients via the Choose and Book service.
The conditions that are treated by the specialist nurses are;-
- Acne
- Eczema ( all forms)
- Psoriasis
- Warts
- Verrucca
- Scabies
- Molluscum Contagiosum
- Nodulaar Prurigo
- Senile Pruritis
- Seb Keratosis
- Skin Tags
- Para Keratosis
- Papular Urticaia
They also perform minor operations to remove benign lesions.
